Coordination Meeting Between City Council-SKPD Held For Asian Games Preparation

Yesterday, City Council and Jakarta SKPD had a coordination meeting for preparation of Asian Games that will be held in Jakarta on August 18, 2018.

City Council Head, Prasetio Edi Marsudi conveyed, this meeting was focused to review technical issues in hosting Asian Games event.

"Such as waste management. I don't want any rubbish to be scattered at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium," he affirmed in City Hall building, Tuesday (7/10).

Thus he wants Jakarta Environment (LH) Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji to deploy PPSU personnel in every Asian Games venues.

"I have asked LH Dept. Head to ensure PPSU personnel to standby in every venues thus waste can be handled immediately," he stated.

He also asked Transportation Dept. and Satpol PP to prepare traffic management. Thus access to Asian Games venues, especially GBK, can be sterile from activities outside athletes, officials, and Asian Games visitors.

"It needs to be sterilized, especially PKL on sidewalk," he added.

On the same location, Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah admitted, his side will follow up all City Council suggestions. He also invites legislative side to directly monitor Asian Games venues preparation.

"If council head and members have a spare time, we can monitor the preparation directly together," he said.
